Outdoor decking, combined with the mezzanine, is a waterproof solution that allows you to create multi-purpose outdoor spaces. Whether creating a carport, terrace, balcony, porch or pergola, this combination ensures that your outdoor area is much better protected from the elements.
This product is placed on the flooring of your mezzanine, creating a protective waterproof surface. Its design combines a waterproof and breathable canvas on which the battens are placed and, finally, the decking of pine slats treated with Autoclave IV.
We recommend installing the mezzanine at a slight slope of 2% to ensure effective drainage. Installation is easy and is explained in detail in the manual included with the product. In addition, it is important to take into account other installation considerations specified here.
All decking elements can be cut according to the needs of each project, allowing seamless adaptation to the surface of your mezzanine.
These are the layers that make up the Outdoor Decking (see more details in the product images):
The battens and the slats are actually the same piece of wood; they are just placed in a different position and direction.
We have chosen natural pine for several reasons that make it better than the WPC plastic composite materials commonly used in outdoor areas:
It experiences less swelling compared to WPC plastic flooring, which ensures a longer lasting hold.
This treatment prevents fungi growth or other similar problems, offering exceptional durability. Although it may initially have a greenish colour due to the mineral salts of the treatment, the wood recovers its natural colour when exposed to the sun for a few days.
Wood decking is easy to maintain and clean. Grease or oil stains are easily removed with soap and water, unlike WPC, which absorbs these stains when they lose their encapsulation protection and are difficult to remove.
The wood we use is FSC-certified pine, which guarantees its sustainable and responsible origin. Unlike WPC composite decking, our decking is a completely natural product, with no plastic components.
The products can be located indoors and outdoors taking into account some recommendations.
The material will be delivered at street level (curbside delivery) by an external transport company.

Yes, the mezzanine floor is included.
For the S, M and L ranges we use 18 mm pine plywood structural panels, with tongue and groove joints on all four sides.
In the XL range, we use P5 HYDRO high-density particle board structural panels, with tongue and groove joints on all four sides and 35 mm thick.
If you want to install your mezzanine outdoors and take care of the floor, we recommend installing the Outdoor Decking. This product is placed over the flooring of the mezzanine, making it a suitable option for outdoor use. It is the ideal waterproof solution to protect the wood flooring and prolong the life of your outdoor mezzanine. In this way, you can create multifunctional spaces such as pergolas, porches, terraces or carports.
The kit includes as many boards as needed to install the mezzanine in its maximum dimensions.
To install the mezzanine in smaller dimensions, it is necessary to cut the boards as it is explained in the installation manual included in the mezzanine kit.
No. Tecrostar does not have a different flooring alternative. However, it is possible to personalize the finish of the floor by adding some accessories on the boards (carpet, platform,...). Check our floor finishes in accessories section. If the customer installs a different floor from the boards provided, it is their responsibility to ensure the resistance of the full mezzanine, since the floor contributes to the stability of the whole.
You can find an fitter near you on misterassembler.com. This website puts fitters and customers in contact, so the price and the responsibility of the installation is the fitter's. This website is not associated with Tecrostar.
Tecrostar can provide you with an estimate of the cost of assembly that depends largely on the distance between the assembly team and the installation site and the type of service hired (prior visit and measuring, delivery service and transport of goods to the site).
In any case, this estimate must be agreed between the client and the fitter.
The mezzanine floors are packed and shipped by an external agency in a lorry provided with a lifting platform, so that the boxes can be unloaded on the ground. The order will be delivered at street level to the address specified by the customer.
If there are access restrictions, there could be additional costs due to the necessity of transferring the merchandise to a smaller vehicle.
In order to deliver mezzanines XL, the delivery location should be accessible to a truck/long trailer (maximum mass admitted up to 36t). Should you think there is any kind of restriction, please contact us. The customer should take care of the merchandise unloading process. That unloading should be made from the lateral sides of the truck (this kind of truck does not have a back liftgate). We deliver the product packed with pallets at the bottom, so its unloading should be made preferably with a forklift.
Don't be alarmed by the total weight of the product, the components are light and manageable, so you can move them easily and take them up in the lift. The heaviest components are the primary beams from the L Range (39 kg), the rest of the ranges are considerably lighter (12kg).The floor panels are very light and fit in any lift. No component is more than 2.4m long and therefore, fits in most lifts.
However, it is important to mention that in the case of the XL range, some components may be a little heavier.
