The mezzanine floors are packed and shipped by an external agency in a lorry provided with a lifting platform, so that the boxes can be unloaded on the ground. The order will be delivered at street level to the address specified by the customer.
If there are access restrictions, there could be additional costs due to the necessity of transferring the merchandise to a smaller vehicle.
In order to deliver mezzanines XL, the delivery location should be accessible to a truck/long trailer (maximum mass admitted up to 36t). Should you think there is any kind of restriction, please contact us. The customer should take care of the merchandise unloading process. That unloading should be made from the lateral sides of the truck (this kind of truck does not have a back liftgate). We deliver the product packed with pallets at the bottom, so its unloading should be made preferably with a forklift.
At Tecrostar, we offer four types of boxes that are carefully designed to adapt to and protect the products. Depending on the products in your order, you will receive one or the other.
Mezzanine floors in the S, M and L range are shipped in the same type of box. The S and M mezzanines require one crate for each shipment. The L range, however, normally requires two crates.
The XL mezzanines are shipped in two boxes; one for the wooden elements and one for the steel elements.
The rest of the products (stairs, handrails and other items) are shipped in smaller boxes.

Our logistics department packs the products with great care to optimise the space available inside the boxes. Sometimes, smaller products may share a box with mezzanines. In this way we make the most of the space and ensure that everything fits correctly.
Don't be alarmed by the total weight of the product, the components are light and manageable, so you can move them easily and take them up in the lift.The heaviest components are the primary beams from the L Range (39 kg), the rest of the ranges are considerably lighter (12kg).The floor panels are very light and fit in any lift. No component is more than 2.4m long and therefore, fits in most lifts.
However, it is important to mention that in the case of the XL range, some components may be a little heavier.

Yes.
Sometimes, the carrier cannot access to point of delivery due to an extremely narrow street or any other difficulty. In such cases, the carrier cannot do the delivery with the usual truck and he may need to use a different vehicle or extra support.
If the carrier considers that the point of delivery is complicated, request a quotation. If you don’t inform in advance that the access is complicated, the delivery will be paralysed until you pay the extra cost.
To determine the delivery date, it is important to understand the various stages your order goes through, as well as the dispatch and shipping time concepts.
When we receive your order request, we review it to check the compatibility between products (ranges, colours...). Once we can verify that everything is correct, your order gets APPROVED (usually within 1 working day).
As soon as we start preparing your order in the warehouse you will receive an automatic email. At this moment you can check that the status has changed to PROCESSING IN PROGRESS. This is when we carefully handle and package each product so that everything arrives in perfect condition.
Dispatch time corresponds to the period comprised from the order approval to the time this leaves our facilities, which depends on both our team and internal processes. We are committed to working towards keeping it to the possible minimum (5 to 7 working days).
When everything is PREPARED AND READY TO BE SHIPPED, we hand over your order to the transport agency and the order status changes to SHIPPED. We will send you an email where you will find useful information and recommendations about the delivery process.
TRANSIT/SHIPPING TIME
When we talk about transit/shipping time, we refer to the period that elapses from the time the goods have left our warehouse until they are delivered to the customer.
As we distribute our products all over the world, we work with different transport companies external to Tecrostar. So that you can enjoy your order as soon as possible, we assess the available options and choose the fastest and with the best conditions offered in each case.
We do our best to give you a delivery estimate, but once the goods leave our premises, the shipping time depends solely on the carrier. Please note that there are external factors that may affect the shipping time, such as the geographical location, unforeseen weather conditions or Customs clearance procedures. As an example, transit time for Zone A countries usually varies from 3 to 7 working days.

If you choose the waterproof or RAL personalised colour options, please note that the delivery of your order will take longer as metal parts will need additional treating or painting.

How do we send orders?
At our store, we ensure that your order arrives in perfect condition. We package the products as follows:
- Sturdy boxes: All our boxes are made from high-quality materials to protect your purchase.
- Palletised or with blocks: Each box is placed on a pallet or has special blocks. This facilitates handling with a trolley and prevents damage to the goods.
- Internal protection: Inside the box, all pieces are wrapped in protective material.
- Wrapped in film: All boxes are wrapped in plastic film, providing additional protection during transport.
Possible Damage During Shipping
During transportation, some minor damage to the packaging may occur. Don’t worry! This is completely normal and, in most cases, does not affect the goods inside. Here’s what you should keep in mind when receiving your order:
- Corners and Edges: These are the most vulnerable areas during transport and may incur some bumps. These superficial damages usually do not affect the product.
- Pallet or blocks: If your order includes these items, some may be broken. This is normal and often a natural wear from transport.
- Holes in the sides of the box: Boxes may have small holes, generally caused by the tines of the trolleys used to move the goods. These could indicate a significant damage that might have affected the contents.
Order Inspection
Now that you know what can happen during transport, here are some tips on how to inspect your order.
Keep in mind that sometimes the packaging may show "superficial" damage that does not imply deterioration of the products. If you believe the damage has affected the goods, or that the packaging did not adequately protect your order, please check our incident policy. There you will find the different options available to resolve any issues.
