Hinged door that demarcates the space for the movement and handling of loads. The purpose of the hinged door is similar to a railing which, by opening its doors, allows access to the adjacent space.

Description

The hinged door, made of steel, is installed on the edge of the surface or mezzanine and can therefore replace the railing, if there is one. Its opening system swings towards the inside of the mezzanine or installation surface. To minimise any possible floor unevenness, the 2 door leaves are fitted with adjustable wheels.

Designed for commercial or industrial use, these gates are easily opened and closed manually and integrate a locking-type closing system. For added security, the door comes with a slot to fit a padlock (not included).

The material will be delivered at street level (curbside delivery) by an external transport company.

We do not currently offer an on-site measurement service. However, we recommend you explore the Mr Assembler website, where you can find assemblers who do offer this service. In addition, their platform allows you to hire an assembly service for the products you need.

Can I install a Tecrostar product making modifications of it?

You can make aesthetic modifications, but any structural modification non approved by Tecrostar will be under customer’s responsibility.

Characteristics of the materials

Tecrostar products are manufactured with the most suitable materials for the proposed technical solutions, combining wood, steel and top quality aluminium.

The steels used for beams, columns and other components are fit for structural uses with a high yield strength (S235, S275 or S355, as required). The pieces are manufactured using maximum precision laser cutting, folding and pressing processes. Next a powder coating is applied and they are baked in the oven, offering maximum adhesion and an outstanding finish.

The wood panels used for the mezzanine flooring can be made of European radiata pine plywood or high density structural chipboard. All the boards are tongue and groove on all four sides to prevent faults and unevenness at the joints of the modules.
Other wooden components, such as the steps and parts of the handrails, are made from top quality beech.

Railings

Are the railings compatible among the different ranges?

No, they are not. However, there are other possible combinations between ranges, in which the performance and configuration of the standard product changes (see diagram).

The Railing with safety skirting board XL is the most recommended for installation on other surfaces.

(1) This configuration can be installed, but the height of the Railing would be different. In addition to reducing the height, the Angular Struts should also be changed. Ask TecroStar.

(2) To install this configuration you have to acquire 1 “Adapter for Accessories in Primary Beam XL Kit”, per Railing Post which is going to be installed on the direction of the primary beams of the TXL30, TXL32 and TXL37 Mezzanines.

(3) To use this configuration, the railings are fixed to the front of the floor slab or a different surface.This option is not recommended.

(4) To install this configuration you have to acquire 1 Angular Strut ( as the same range of the mezzanine) per Railing Post. Ask TecroStar.

Can the railing be cut to reduce its height?

This is not recommended, as to cover a space with reduced height (i.e.: attics, irregular/low ceilings, etc.)

We recommend installing the Low Railing instead. This particular railing model will allow the height of the railing posts to be adjusted to the client's taste.

Does one flank of railing cover an entire side of the mezzanine?

That depends. The railing kits are 2 meters long. You will have to calculate how many kits you need.

What are the colours and finishes available for the railing?

The steel parts are coated with a highly adherent polyester paint coating using an electrostatic process. The colours and finishes available for the railings are as follows:

White (RAL: 9016). (Available from stock at no extra cost.)
Black (RAL: 9005) (Available from stock at no extra cost).
Any single-coat colour from the RAL range at an additional cost and upon request. We recommend checking the delivery times.

The handrail of the railings and stairs are available in aluminium in the following finishes:

Anodised silver (at no extra cost).
Black lacquer (additional cost).
Wood effect (additional cost).

The loft bed and rope railings are fitted with handrails made of solid natural beech wood. In the case of the spiral staircase railings, the handrails are available in black polyethylene or black rope.

Installation

How can I find and hire an installer for Tecrostar products?

You can find an fitter near you on misterassembler.com. This website puts fitters and customers in contact, so the price and the responsibility of the installation is the fitter's. This website is not associated with Tecrostar.

Tecrostar can provide you with an estimate of the cost of assembly that depends largely on the distance between the assembly team and the installation site and the type of service hired (prior visit and measuring, delivery service and transport of goods to the site).

In any case, this estimate must be agreed between the client and the fitter.

Shipping

How is the product shipped and received?

The mezzanine floors are packed and shipped by an external agency in a lorry provided with a lifting platform, so that the boxes can be unloaded on the ground. The order will be delivered at street level to the address specified by the customer.

If there are access restrictions, there could be additional costs due to the necessity of transferring the merchandise to a smaller vehicle.

In order to deliver mezzanines XL, the delivery location should be accessible to a truck/long trailer (maximum mass admitted up to 36t). Should you think there is any kind of restriction, please contact us. The customer should take care of the merchandise unloading process. That unloading should be made from the lateral sides of the truck (this kind of truck does not have a back liftgate). We deliver the product packed with pallets at the bottom, so its unloading should be made preferably with a forklift.

How is the package and what are its dimensions?

At Tecrostar, we offer four types of boxes that are carefully designed to adapt to and protect the products. Depending on the products in your order, you will receive one or the other.

Mezzanine floors in the S, M and L range are shipped in the same type of box. The S and M mezzanines require one crate for each shipment. The L range, however, normally requires two crates.

The XL mezzanines are shipped in two boxes; one for the wooden elements and one for the steel elements.

The rest of the products (stairs, handrails and other items) are shipped in smaller boxes.

Our logistics department packs the products with great care to optimise the space available inside the boxes. Sometimes, smaller products may share a box with mezzanines. In this way we make the most of the space and ensure that everything fits correctly.

How do I get the product up to my home?

Don't be alarmed by the total weight of the product, the components are light and manageable, so you can move them easily and take them up in the lift.The heaviest components are the primary beams from the L Range (39 kg), the rest of the ranges are considerably lighter (12kg).The floor panels are very light and fit in any lift. No component is more than 2.4m long and therefore, fits in most lifts.

However, it is important to mention that in the case of the XL range, some components may be a little heavier.

Safety pallet gate

The Safety Pallet Gate, also known as Anti-fall tilting barrier, is a collective security and protection element. Its use is mandatory according to the labour risk prevention regulations. It avoids the people falling while lifting loads to a mezzanine or to any other level.

It works as a rocker: the merchandise is deposited in a position using a forklift and taken away in the other position from inside the mezzanine. This way, one of the railing sides is always closed, avoiding falling to a different level with no need to use harness.

The dimensions of the maximum load to deposit and the dimensions of the gate itself depend on the model, as shown in the main image.
