Railings
Compatibility with our mezzanines
It is important that the railing range matches the mezzanine range where it will be installed.
In the specifications for each railing, you will find a drop-down menu where you can select the available range and height. To ensure a perfect fit, choose a railing from the same range as your mezzanine. Always check this selector before adding to your cart.
The main product image shows which ranges are available for each model, so you can quickly see which ones fit your mezzanine.
Compatibility with other surfaces
If you wish to install the railing on surfaces, it is important to ensure that the fixing is stable and secure. Check that the surface can support the intended use, that the anchors are suitable and that the railing is secure before use.
Types of anchors available:
- Plate anchor: installed directly on the surface, ideal for flat floors or platforms.
- Side anchor: attaches to the edge of the mezzanine or platform, useful when the top surface cannot be drilled.
Tips for safe installation:
- Verify that the surface is firm and sturdy (solid wood, concrete, brick, or metal).
- Use compatible, high-quality screws or anchors depending on the type of installation.
- Check that the railing is straight and level before securing it permanently.
- Perform periodic stability checks after installation.
Note: These railings have been designed and tested for anchoring to Tecrostar mezzanines. Installation on other surfaces is the responsibility of the installer.
This is not recommended, as to cover a space with reduced height (i.e.: attics, irregular/low ceilings, etc.)
We recommend installing the Low Railing instead. This particular railing model will allow the height of the railing posts to be adjusted to the client's taste.
That depends. The railing kits are 2 meters long. You will have to calculate how many kits you need.
The steel parts are coated with a highly adherent polyester paint coating using an electrostatic process. The colors and finishes available for the railings are as follows:
- White (RAL: 9016). (Available from stock at no extra cost.)
- Black (RAL: 9005) (Available from stock at no extra cost).
- Micro-textured anthracite grey (RAL: 7016). Waterproof treatment is only available on a specific selection of products.
The handrail of the railings and stairs are available in aluminum in the following finishes:
- Anodised silver (at no extra cost).
- Black lacquer (additional cost).
- Wood effect (additional cost).
Anodized silver is the only available finish for waterproofed products.
The loft bed and rope railings are fitted with handrails made of solid natural beech wood. In the case of the spiral staircase railings, the handrails are available in black polyethylene or black rope.
This is a very common question, but there is no single answer. Each country, and even each locality, may have different legal and safety requirements.
General aspects to consider:
- Each regulation is geared towards different uses: domestic, occupational and public access.
- Not all of our railings meet the specifications for all uses. For example, in places with crowds or where high loads are required, special railings may be needed.
- It is important to use the right railing according to the height and type of platform:
- Do not use Low Railings if your mezzanine or loft allows you to stand up.
- For environments with stricter regulatory requirements, the 110 cm Safety Railing models are more appropriate.
Before installing any railing, check the applicable local regulations and ensure you choose the right model for the use and height of the space. This ensures safety and legal compliance.
