Description

Railing with 110cm high handrail and up to 200cm long, featured with three circular aluminium tubes and a 47cm safety skirting board. It can be installed on any of the Tecrostar mezzanines in the M and L ranges. Its installation is easy and without the need for any building work, it just needs to be fixed to the mezzanine.

The design of this railing provides extra safety thanks to the elements of which it is composed: posts, horizontal tubes and skirting board.

The kit includes three steel posts, three aluminium circular tubes, a safety chipboard skirting and screws for fixing to the mezzanine. When two railing lengths meet on a corner these can be joined together with the railing elbow kit. You can shorten the railing length by reducing the distance between posts. You can also extend it with the corresponding railing extension kits.

FAQs

Are the railings compatible among the different ranges?

No, they are not. However, there are other possible combinations between ranges, in which the performance and configuration of the standard product changes (see diagram).

Low railing:

Compatible with mezzanines of the S, M and L ranges. To go ahead with the installation, you must purchase one angular strut from the corresponding mezzanine range for each railing post.

Compatible with the mezzanines of the XL range. To go ahead with the installation, you must purchase one M/L angular strut and one Adapter for Accessories in Primary Beam XL for each railing post.

Loft bed railing S, Railing S, 4-Tubes railing S and Panel railing S:

Compatible with S range mezzanines: No additional accessories are required.

Compatible with the M and L range mezzanines: To go ahead with the installation, you must purchase one M/L angular strut for each railing post. Please note that the height of the handrail is reduced.

Compatible with the mezzanine of the XL range: To go ahead with the installation, you must purchase one M/L post clamp and one Adapter for Accessories in Primary Beam XL for each handrail post. Please note that the height of the railing is reduced.

All TecroStar railings are designed for installation on our mezzanines. The Railing with safety skirting board XL is the most recommended for installation on other surfaces.

Can the height of the railing be reduced?

Yes. This modification is on behalf of the customer. It is possible to cut the railing and reduce its height.

Does one flank of railing cover an entire side of the mezzanine?

That depends. The railing kits are 2 meters long. You will have to calculate how many kits you need.

What are the colours and finishes available for the railing?

The handrails of the railing* and the stairs** are available in aluminium with the following finishes:

Silver anodized (without additional cost)
Black lacquered (additional cost)
Wooden effect (additional cost)

In all cases it is suitable for outdoor use.

* The handrail of the loft bed railing is made of beech plywood.

** The spiral stairs have necessarily high-density polyethylene (HDPE) handrails in black colour.

Characteristics of the materials

Tecrostar products are manufactured with the most suitable materials for the proposed technical solutions, combining wood, steel and top quality aluminium.

The steels used for beams, columns and other components are fit for structural uses with a high yield strength (S235, S275 or S3555, as required). The pieces are manufactured using maximum precision laser cutting, folding and pressing processes. Next a powder coating is applied and they are baked in the oven, offering maximum adhesion and an outstanding finish.

Anodized aluminium apt for outdoor use
The wood panels used for the mezzanine flooring can be made of European radiata pine plywood or high density structural chipboard. All the boards are tongue and groove on all four sides to prevent faults and unevenness at the joints of the modules.
Other wooden components, such as the steps and parts of the handrails, are made from top quality beech.
